Linda was born and bred in London and initially trained as a Dispensing Chemist. Although she attended church all her life she didn't become a Christian until she was in her thirties. After feeling the call to ministry she was ordained in 1998 at St Paul's Cathedral. She served her curacy in northwest London before becoming a Team Vicar in Derbyshire for ten years. Linda and husband Alan moved to Willingham in January 2011. They enjoy being a bit nearer to their three children and four grandsons, who live in north London.

I was born into the Church of England, my father being a curate in Surrey at that time, and we moved around as my father took on new parishes.Over this time I discovered my own trust in Jesus. I settled in Cambridge when I left school, starting a career in Electronics, and met Heather at St. Martins Church in Cambridge We have four children, one of whom is still living at home. We also have two grandsons. We moved to Willingham six years ago, and this is now my fifth year as Churchwarden. I am also a member of the Parish Council.

janet-drinkwaterJanet Drinkwater - PCC Secretary

We moved to the village in 1985 and I've been attending SMAS since 1989 on a fairly irregular basis. However, I started coming to services regularly once I'd had my first daughter in 1991. My faith and my relationships with the people I've met through the Church have grown in strength and I've been a very active member of the Church taking part in various events as well as Christians Together events too. As far as work goes, I manage the evening class programme at Cottenham Village College together with a team of assistants, which is a fairly full time job as well as having a busy family life with a husband and two teenage daughters, one just about to start University. To relax I enjoy gardening and sitting in it in the sun!

Phil King - PCC Treasurer

phil-kingMy family come from Oldham and that was where I was born in order that I could qualify to play cricket for Lancashire. In those days you had to be born in the county to play for them. Sadly my lack of talent spoiled the plan. Dad was wartime aircrew and stayed on in the RAF. As with most service children I ended up at boarding school and then Manchester University to read Electrical Engineering. I went on to work for a large engineering company and spent most of my career in general management. Work was a twenty four by seven activity and I didn't settle in Willingham until I retired. I then became involved in voluntary work for the church, the Parish Council and the Cambridge bench. Linda is my second wife and I her second husband. We have five children between us all long since departed home and doing well.

I moved to Willingham in October 1996 with my husband and our two children. My husband and I have been attending St Mary and All Saints Church for several years now. Having taken over the administration of the church's website I am keen to make it an area for everyone to contribute with news, events, special announcements and much more. So if you have anything you want considered please send details and images to me. Thank you.
